Under The Covers (Independent release October 2005).
Golden Guitar winner Leanne Douglas has captured the best of her favourite songs--old and new--in
her superb new album Under The Covers. The tracks range
from traditional arrangements to some with a new twist, but they all have Leanne's unique mark stamped on them.
"Straight Tequila Night," has captured her voice beautifully, to make
for a great remake of this hit song. Classic hits such as "Harper Valley PTA"
have been energized with dobro, harmonica and funky piano.
"Rose Garden", with a lush arrangement of vocals and instruments,
has a traditional country feel. The album contains upbeat, toe-tapping versions of
"Blame It On Your Heart" and "I Fell In Love." "Tear Stained Letter" has a cajun sound,
featuring accordian. The album also includes a few ballads, sung from
the heart, coloured by gently weeping steel guitar and fiddle.
Leanne's smooth voice delivers every song with experience and ease, attitude and style.

This instrumental CD includes 10 originals penned by Leanne and covers of her
three favorite Hank Marvin tunes.
From hypnotic, reverb-soaked anthems to colossal guitar riffs--all are served up with skill,
style, inspiration and grace. The CD gained glowing reviews from some of the top guitar
instrumental album reviewers and magazines in the USA:
"Leanne Douglas is quite a guitarist, with a liquid style that's very emotional . . . 'Our Spirit Land' is a moving and
rich scenic exploration of the outback . . . the lead guitar is pristine and beautiful. Leanne not only has
amazing touch on electric guitar but she's a gifted composer."
Leanne's style has been described as country/surf by one of the foremost guitar reviewers, Phil Dirt.
This album has been repackaged for release in Australia--October 2005.
